How do you trust something that you can't understand? That's one of the fascinating and sometimes terrifying paradoxes of AI.

We are building these systems that are becoming increasingly crucial to how we work and how we live. And yet, they make decisions for us that neither we nor the machines can always explain.

But if we're honest with ourselves: can we humans always explain the decisions we make? This is one of the fascinating questions I get into with my guest on today's podcast.

Ursin Brunner is the head of AI at GenTwo. He's a pure AI expert who chose to enter our industry and our company because he saw something special here.

As he explains, something about the complexity of finance makes  it particularly suited for AI.

We cover a lot of ground in this talk. From the fundamental shifts happening in AI that's making it particularly relevant for finance, to the practical challenges of implementation, to why the financial sector is particularly well positioned for AI transformation.

We also tackle some bigger questions.

When will AI get smarter than us? Will it take our jobs? Or will it free us from menial tasks and usher in an age of enlightened leisure?

But mostly this talk, while high level, is practical in nature. For those of us in financial services, especially asset managers, this conversation offers insights about what's possible now, what's coming next, and most importantly, how to think strategically about AI implementation.
