High-quality wine: enjoyment, passion - and an attractive investment
Valuable wines mean passion and lifestyle, but investors are also increasingly interested in them. As an alternative investment, fine wine offers interesting return opportunities with comparatively low-price fluctuations.
The wine index of "The Economist" has not only outperformed classic stock indices during the period under review. It has also shown itself to be less volatile - which is why fine wine is suitable as an interesting alternative investment in the context of a balanced portfolio that offers more interesting overall return opportunities with comparatively lower price fluctuations.
In partnership with GenTwo the asset manager Swiss Fund Management has launched an actively managed certificate (AMC) on fine wine. The AMC enables participation in a broadly diversified, actively managed wine portfolio even with a relatively small investment. The wine investment aims to achieve an annual return of at least ten percent with comparatively low volatility by investing in fine wines from the best regions and classifications in France and other countries.
