GenTwo Wins Swiss Fintech Award 2024
Zurich, 12 June, 2024 - We are thrilled to announce that GenTwo has won the prestigious Swiss FinTech Award 2024 in the Growth Stage Start-up of the Year category. This award, aimed at promoting Swiss fintech innovators, is a testament both to our significant growth and technological innovation but also the strength of the Swiss FinTech ecosystem.
At around 9 pm on June 11, it became official: GenTwo had been named Swiss Growth-Stage Fintech of the Year for 2024. Winning was no small feat. There were over 100 applicants across the Swiss fintech scene, of which 60 were invited to the initial pitches. This was whittled down to five per category, with the two finalists pitching live at the Finanz und Wirtschaft Awards gala.

In the end, GenTwo Co-Founder and CEO Philippe A. Naegeli brought home the prize with a compelling five-minute presentation. “Warren Buffet once famously said, you should invest in what you understand,” Naegeli opened in front of the packed room at the Gottlieb Duttweiler Institute. “We have added to that sage advice that you should also invest in what you believe in. That is our vision at GenTwo.”
He then showcased the strengths and technological innovations of the GenTwo Pro Assetization platform as well as our vision to make all assets bankable. This included highlighting the multi-trillion dollar opportunity of Assetization, and how GenTwo’s “financial engineering as code” technology – as well as our expert teams and partner network – can help make this happen.
He also recapped our company’s journey so far. With over USD five billion assetized to date, more than 1,400 products created by over 300 clients in 26 countries, it has been a very exciting and productive first six years.

Last but not least, Naegeli pointed out how these awards were not just about GenTwo, but provided a great showcase for the Swiss Fintech ecosystem as a whole. “We have a very vibrant fintech scene here in Switzerland, and there is so much great work being done. We all should be proud of ourselves.”
This award marks a significant milestone on that journey. As we begin our expansion into the UK and US markets, it also provides us with some great momentum.
