GenTwo Accelerates Global Expansion

Zurich, 3 September 2024 - GenTwo, the Swiss fintech revolutionizing the investment landscape through its innovative Assetization Platform, today announced its global expansion strategy.

GenTwo Accelerates Global Expansion

The company has already achieved success in Switzerland: since its founding in 2018, GenTwo clients have created over 1,400 products with a total volume exceeding USD five billion.

The expansion will commence with the launch of operations in the United Kingdom this October, marking a strategic milestone for GenTwo. The UK, with its robust financial services sector and London's position as a global financial hub, presents an ideal launchpad for GenTwo's international growth.

Notably, the UK is home to 20% of the world's wealth management market, mirroring Switzerland's share. This strategic expansion will position GenTwo to provide solutions to a combined 40% of the global wealth management market, significantly amplifying its reach and impact. To celebrate this pivotal moment, the UK office will be officially launched with an event at the Swiss Embassy in London, underscoring the significance of this cross-border venture.

Following the UK launch, GenTwo plans to enter the United States market in 2025. The US, with its vast and sophisticated financial ecosystem, offers enormous potential for GenTwo's expansion. GenTwo's entry into the US market will allow it to tap into a larger pool of investors and strategic global firms, further accelerating and expanding its global footprint.

To support this expansion, GenTwo is proud to be bringing on board several senior leaders with extensive expertise in finance, technology, and growth strategies.

Gilles Stuck joins as Chief Global Markets. Gilles will spearhead GenTwo's international market expansion and global sales activities. With almost two decades of experience in Private Banking, Corporate Banking and Investment Banking, Gilles is well-positioned to drive GenTwo's global ambitions. His last mandate prior to joining GenTwo was in the role of Market Head Switzerland at Julius Baer.

Goran Gusic has been appointed as Head of the UK. A Swiss national based in London, Goran is a Derivatives specialist with over 20 years of experience, leading trading teams and providing investment solutions/strategies for institutional clients. His leadership will be crucial in establishing and growing GenTwo's presence in the UK market. Goran's background includes roles as an Equity Trader at Barclays, Citibank and Morgan Stanley.

Scott Miller joins as Head of US to lead the US market entry strategy. Based in New York, with over 20 years of experience in equity derivatives and structured products, including leadership roles at Wells Fargo and NYDIG, Scott brings invaluable expertise to support GenTwo's expansion into the US market.

Philippe A. Naegeli, CEO of GenTwo, commented on the expansion: "Our success in Switzerland has proven the immense potential of our Assetization Platform. As we embark on this global journey, we're not just expanding geographically; we're scaling our vision to democratize and innovate in the world of investments. With our strengthened leadership team, we're poised to redefine the future of finance on a global stage."

About GenTwo

Founded in 2018, GenTwo is a Swiss-based B2B fintech that provides the technology and tools for the mass customization of financial products – a process the company refers to as Assetization. It serves banks, asset managers, family offices and other financial intermediaries who are looking for a frictionless, cost-effective, digital-first securitization platform free from the constraints imposed by traditional providers. Thanks to GenTwo, financial intermediaries around the world can expand their product shelves and cater to the increasing desire of their clients for diversification and belief-driven investment opportunities. They can also unlock the estimated 78 trillion US dollars’ worth of value currently held in non-bankable assets globally.

GenTwo’s offering is based on two pillars. With its GenTwo Pro Assetization Platform, asset managers can turn any traditional, alternative or digital asset or strategy into a bankable product in just a few clicks using their own dedicated issuer. Its GenTwo Pro for Banks offering – the world’s first Swiss-based AMC platform for banks – allows banks and their clients to create and issue bankable AMCs on all liquid or digital assets in a matter of minutes. Since inception, over 300 clients in 26 countries have worked with GenTwo to issue over 1,400 products with an accumulated volume of more than five billion US dollars. While previously serving clients solely out of Switzerland, in 2024 it expanded its global footprint with an office in the UK. It plans to move into the US market in 2025.
